Surgical Technologist First Assist - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule, from 08:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

The Surgical Technologist will assist in various surgical operations, providing support in both scrub and first assisting capacities. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, ensuring necessary equipment and instruments are available, and maintaining aseptic techniques throughout surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in General, Orthopedic, Urology, Vascular, Bariatric, and Podiatry surgeries.
• Utilize DaVinci robotics and handle laparoscopic and open surgeries effectively.
• Maintain an aseptic environment and adhere to hospital protocols during procedures.
• Scrub and assist during surgeries while anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
• Participate in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical technologist role.
• National certifications NBSTSA or CSFA required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• CVOR experience is necessary; DaVinci robotics experience preferred.
• Inpatient and outpatient work setting experience required.
