Team members collaborate closely to provide a supportive environment for patients of all ages, using modern technology and best practices in audiology.\nRole Description This full-time, on-site Audiologist role is based at PROFESSIONAL HEARING ASSOCIATES in north county San Diego, CA. The Audiologist will perform comprehensive hearing evaluations, including diagnostic audiometry, tympanometry, and speech testing, and will interpret results to develop individualized treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include fitting, programming, and verifying hearing aids and other amplification devices, as well as providing follow-up care, counseling, and ongoing hearing rehabilitation. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and educating patients and families about hearing health, device use, and communication strategies. The Audiologist will support practice growth by providing high-quality patient experiences and staying current with advances in audiology and hearing technology.\nQualifications\n\n\n Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program; current or eligible California Audiologist license.\n Experience conducting diagnostic hearing assessments and balance-related tests, and interpreting audiological data to guide treatment.\n Proficiency in fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing aids and assistive listening devices, including use of real-ear and verification measures.\n Strong patient-centered communication skills, with the ability to counsel individuals and families on hearing loss, treatment options, and realistic expectations.\n Comfort with electronic health records (EHR), clinical documentation, and basic office technologies used in hearing healthcare settings.\n Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team while managing an independent caseload in a busy clinical environment.\n Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development through continuing education.\n Previous experience in private practice or medical audiology, and familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes, is beneficial.\n
