Accounts Payable Accountant

A/R & A/P Accountant

The position is primarily responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable/receivable records by performing the following:

Job Responsibilities: A/R

• Accurate & Timely processing of customer invoices in both ERP systems and various customer portals
• Accurately compile supporting documents for daily invoicing
• Work with Sales team as needed to create new customer accounts in ERP System
• Ensure all customer requests are attended to in a timely and professional manner
• Distribute electronically A/R customer reports and follow up on past due accounts
• Reach out to customers to collect on past due accounts

Job Responsibilities: A/P

• Process full cycle AP
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Code and enter invoices into ERP accurately and timely
• Perform accurate and timely distribution of cash disbursements
• Print and obtain signatures on accounts payable checks
• Process employees' Travel and Expense Reports and reconcile company credit cards
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Respond to inquiries regarding outstanding invoices
• File accounts payable documentation in an organized manner

Additionally:

• Communicate with customers/vendors and maintain good relationships
• Ensure expenses follow company policies and are coded to appropriate GL accounts
• Analyze accounts and prepare reports when requested
• Maintain A/P & A/R reports and files
• Work with others internally to resolve issues
• Send/Receive mail (Other duties may be assigned):

Requirements for AR/AP Accountant Position:

• Minimum High School Diploma with some college experience in a related field
• Minimum 2- 4 years' experience in similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Macola experience is a bonus!

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Possibility of position becoming hybrid (Office + Home) after training is complete.
