Set Up Mechanic Responsibilities

As a Mechanic at Silgan Closures, you will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and product quality by setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Set up, adjust, and maintain:
  • Presses
  • Luggers
  • Comp equipment
  • Ovens
  • Threaders
  • Lining machines
• Ensure machinery produces quality product within specifications
• Operate presses and related manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support production uptime
• Perform equipment adjustments and preventive maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Willingness to work any shift during training
