Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day implementation of manufacturing activities in one or more production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met while managing a budget. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager and is located in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities Lead and build a strong team, making hiring and firing decisions. Train associates on standard manufacturing processes and ensure goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) are met while promoting continuous improvement. Prioritize production schedules based on customer needs, equipment performance, staff efficiency, material availability, and business goals. Coordinate with different teams to ensure on‑time product delivery. Identify areas that need improvement and assess associate performance, provide feedback, and conduct annual performance reviews and the compensation process in line with company policies. Manage the area’s budget, including labor, production, maintenance, supplies, tooling, and fixtures. Suggest budget changes for capital expenses and labor costs, develop work schedules, and supervise skilled and semi‑skilled staff. Qualifications Minimum education and experience: High school degree with 8+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. Work well in fast‑paced environments and display a strong sense of urgency while adapting to changing responsibilities. Open to working any assigned shift. Self‑motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to set performance expectations and address sensitive issues. Problem‑solving skills to improve organizational performance and proficiencies in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Preferred Experience Experience leading continuous improvement, Six Sigma efforts, and Kaizen project teams. Demonstrated planning and organizational agility.
