About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its dynamic and rapidly expanding team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the legal and regulatory aspects of the business, with a focus on commercial and regulatory issues. This role involves acting as a legal swiss-army knife, working across various legal practice areas, and being the go-to person for commercial partnerships. The Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for ensuring the company's product and service offerings are in compliance with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing residential real estate, and will have the opportunity to engage with state regulators and manage outside law firms. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' of experience in the commercial and/or regulatory space, with a strong background in commercial contracts and a deep understanding of the laws and regulatory frameworks governing residential real estate, mortgage lending, title insurance, and settlement services. They should be an entrepreneurial individual who can navigate ambiguity and is adept at building strong relationships across various functional teams. The role requires a self-motivated, business-minded attorney with a proven track record of sound advice and success, who is ready to take on the challenge of growing the business in a compliant manner. Experience with data privacy regimes is a plus, and the candidate should be a member of the state bar in good standing.
