ASSOCIATE TRANSPORTATION PLANNER

Associate Transportation Planner Department of Transportation, California. Salary: $7,328.00 - $9,178.00 per month. Responsibilities Develop and update the State Freight Plan under direction of Senior Transportation Planner and Branch Chief. Implement the California Sustainable Freight Action Plan. Coordinate freight outreach activities and other freight planning actions. Act as liaison to assigned Caltrans District(s), partner agencies, freight modes, and topic areas. Support freight planning responsibilities within the Office of Strategic Freight Planning. Minimum Requirements Education and experience equivalent to an Associate Transportation Planner or Transportation Planner classification. Valid driver’s license required for operating state vehicles. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required; two pages, 12‑point Arial font, no more than two pages. Demonstrated technical writing, software and analysis proficiency, coordination and facilitation ability, and workload management. Desirable Qualifications Professional, timely staff work that meets Associate‑level quality and quantity requirements. Positive working relationships and consensus building with internal and external partners. Analytical skills to identify solutions and recommend actions. Proficiency in preparing and presenting reports and analyses. Experience in performing technical analyses and meeting deadlines.
