Title
Medical Assistant - Outpatient

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in an outpatient setting
- Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- High School diploma or GED
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
- Proficiency in venipuncture/blood draws
- Ability to room patients and obtain vitals
- Competency in obtaining 12-lead EKGs and pulse oximetry
- Experience with intramuscular/intradermal injections and immunizations
- Ability to support medication administration, refill requests, telephone triage, and authorization/insurance verification
- Epic experience strongly preferred

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including taking patient histories and vital signs
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitization
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and instructions

Compliance / Notes
- 2 supervisor-level references from within the past 12 months required at submission
- MA certification from a DAPIP-accredited school required (copy needed at submission)
- Background/license verification required
- Maximum return to office (RTO) of 7 days; no RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Pre-start modules required; billable up to 12 hours
