Assistant Director, Power BI Enablement Lead

Assistant Director, Power BI Enablement Lead Location: Boston, MA (hybrid, two days per week); Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; Plano, TX; or Remote. Positions available at multiple U.S. locations. Job Summary You will own the strategy, development, and optimization of our Power BI ecosystem, design high‑impact analytics experiences, and champion adoption across the business. Key Responsibilities Identify areas of opportunity to optimize solutions for performance, scalability and usability; lead tuning workshops. Establish and enforce development standards and best practices. Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to translate requirements into robust, maintainable BI solutions. Lead enablement initiatives: create training programs, documentation and workshops for developers and end users. Mentor teams on Power BI development, governance, administration and deployment pipelines. Implement governance and security in Power BI Service. Track and evangelize new features (Fabric, Copilot, Direct Lake, field parameters, dynamic M). Design, build and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models and dataflows. What you’ll bring 5+ years experience in Power BI development and administration. Expert‑level DAX and strong Power Query/M skills. Solid data modeling and SQL proficiency. Hands‑on familiarity with Power BI Service and Azure data services. Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics. Experience with BI governance and deployment pipelines. Proven ability to deliver training, workshops and enablement materials. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Microsoft certifications (PL‑300, PL‑900, DP‑500). Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Copilot features. Version control and CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Experience with advanced analytics, AI integrations or custom visuals.
