This 283-bed hospital serves Eastern Kentucky and operates as a Level 4 trauma center with comprehensive orthopedic surgical capabilities. The facility utilizes established protocols for emergency and inpatient orthopedic care and maintains modern surgical equipment with experienced support staff. The hospital requires a 30-45 day credentialing process and provides full orthopedic services including operating room and clinic facilities.

The orthopedic surgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage managing inpatient and emergency department consultations at this Level 4 trauma center. The clinician will conduct clinic appointments from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and provide surgical call coverage from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Essential responsibilities include performing core orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements for hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as hand and foot fracture repairs with potential pediatric cases in clinic. The position requires managing 1-3 calls per 24-hour period with monthly coverage assignments.
