Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5, which may include a mix of PCU and medical-surgical patients
• Manage and titrate cardiac and critical drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitroglycerin, and insulin
• Care for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, bradycardia, VT, TAVR, and CABG (post-operative day 2), as well as general PCU overflow including sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-surgical patients
• Recover cardiac catheterization patients following sheath removal and monitor hemodynamic stability
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; a dedicated monitor tech is also available on the unit
• Manage patients on BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and stable trach as needed; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with current or compact state eligibility to practice in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of one successfully completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Demonstrated experience with all listed titratable drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TAVR and CABG patient populations
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills in a cardiac-focused PCU environment
• Familiarity with Watchman procedure recovery and pacemaker patients
