Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5, which may include a mix of PCU and medical-surgical patients
• Manage and titrate cardiac and critical drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitroglycerin, and insulin
• Care for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, bradycardia, VT, TAVR, CABG (post-op day 2), and Watchman procedures; recover cath lab patients following sheath removal
• Monitor and interpret telemetry independently; a dedicated monitor tech is also available on the unit
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and stable trach support
• Float as needed to the ICU (within patient population) and medical-surgical floors

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Arizona (or compact license eligibility)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of one successfully completed travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Demonstrated experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry setting with proficiency managing all listed titratable drips
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for TAVR and CABG patients (these cases are typically prioritized for core staff)
• Familiarity with post-cath sheath removal and hemostasis management
• Experience with Watchman procedure recovery and cardiac device patients (pacers, heart block management)
