Art Director

Metre is seeking an Art Director to join our creative team and lead the development and execution of work across print, digital, social, web, video, and out-of-home channels. The Art Director will help shape creative concepts and design direction for a wide range of clients and projects, including brand identities, integrated campaigns, websites, digital experiences, video, print, and advertising. We're looking for a strong designer and creative thinker who is ready to take a leadership role on projects, collaborate effectively with others, and bring ideas from concept through final execution. The Role Serve as lead designer and creative lead on projects of varying scope and scale Develop creative concepts and establish visual direction across campaigns, brands, digital, print, web, video, and OOH Collaborate with designers, writers, strategists, and account team members to develop thoughtful, effective creative solutions Provide creative direction and guidance to other designers throughout the development and production process Set and maintain direction for photography, typography, color, imagery, and other visual elements Write or refine headlines, social copy, and other short-form messaging when needed Present creative concepts, strategies, and design work to clients and clearly articulate the thinking behind them Review and proof creative work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality Take ownership of the overall creative quality of assigned projects and client work Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams Manage multiple projects, priorities, timelines, and deadlines Work within Metre's creative process while helping ensure work moves efficiently from concept through production This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Ideal Candidate Will Have: 5+ years of professional design experience, with demonstrated experience leading projects or providing creative direction Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, Fine Arts, Interactive Design, or a related field Agency experience preferred Strong conceptual thinking with excellent typography, layout, and visual design skills Ability to develop an idea from initial concept through polished final execution across multiple channels Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Experience with After Effects, Figma, and/or Premiere is a plus HTML and web design experience is a plus Portfolio of professional work demonstrating strong conceptual and design capabilities required About Metre Metre is an independent advertising agency that combines research, strategy, creative, and media to help organizations connect with the audiences that matter to them.
