Job Description

As a Security Officer Perimeter Inspection Driver in Delaware City, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of operational areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
