That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening in New Castle, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour

DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 06:00 PMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and visitors in accordance with site procedures, reporting prohibited, damaged, or suspicious items and/or activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain accurate screening and visitor records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
