What you'll do

The Supply Chain team is a global organization focused primarily on Procurement and Supplier Performance management. We are guided by our mission of delivering exceptional supplier performance and minimizing risk. We span multiple sites in North America, Europe, and Asia, managing approximately $1B in spend for Viasat, and buy everything from common COTS electronic components to integrated satellite subsystems, and from paper to streaming sporting events. The day-to-day

• Execute sourcing and procurement activities, including RFQs, negotiations, and purchase order management
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, planning, manufacturing and finance teams to support program deliverables
• Develop and implement commodity and supplier strategies, aligned to business objectives
• Monitor and manage supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery metrics
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp activities
• Conduct market analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and alternative sourcing strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and contractual requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Experience managing suppliers in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• U.S. Citizenship required (government contract support)
• Ability to travel up to 10 percent

What will help you on the job

• Experience supporting NPI through production (LRIP to full-rate manufacturing)
• Background in aerospace, defense, or highly engineered products
• Familiarity with FARS/DFARS regulations
• Experience with RMAs, supplier quality, and outsourcing/turnkey programs
• Knowledge of PLM systems and component-level sourcing

Salary range

$79,000.00 - $124,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $97,500.00- $146,500.00/ annually
