You are a software engineer first. You have deep software engineering instincts and strong systems thinking, with significant experience architecting and delivering large-scale embedded, robotics, or other complex real-time systems.

Broad technical fluency across AI, robotics, hardware, embedded software, infrastructure, and testing. You may not be the deepest specialist in every domain, but you can speak the language of each discipline, drive technical decisions across organizational boundaries, and integrate the work of experts into a cohesive system.

Strong understanding of the challenges involved in deploying reliable real-time systems outside of controlled environments.

Experience leading highly technical engineering teams while remaining deeply engaged in architecture, execution, and technical decision-making.

A builder's mindset with exceptional ownership, urgency, and willingness to dive into technical details when needed.

Demonstrated ability to attract, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent while raising the technical bar across an organization.

Strong conviction that AI will fundamentally reshape robotics, and a deep interest in bringing foundation models into real-world physical systems.

Willingness to travel internationally and work closely with distributed teams to solve challenging systems integration problems where being close to the robot matters.

Experience leading robotics organizations responsible for deployed autonomous systems, humanoids, industrial robots, drones, autonomous vehicles, or other safety-critical platforms.

Experience integrating machine learning systems into production robotics products.

Experience scaling engineering organizations through periods of rapid growth while maintaining technical excellence.

Background spanning multiple domains such as embedded systems, robotics software, AI infrastructure, perception, planning, simulation, testing, or hardware development.
