Description

• Conduct assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized testing and observational evaluations.
• Design tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate communication goals and the longer-term needs related to cognitive or swallowing disorders.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate continued improvement beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring that care remains uninterrupted through each step of the patient's treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continued learning to keep pace with advancements in the field and to enhance peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of starting employment.

• Strong command of evidence-based treatment methods for a variety of ages, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired.
