Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a broad range of ultrasound tests, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part evaluations
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, clearly explaining procedures with empathy and professionalism
• Team up with radiologists and referring practitioners to ensure delivery of precise diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment diligently, reporting any issues immediately
• Keep meticulous records of procedures and ensure patient data is accurately entered in the electronic medical record system
• Embrace continuous learning by staying updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus

• Demonstrated technical proficiency in ultrasound imaging and effective patient positioning
