Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures by effectively communicating each step of the process
• Collaborate intimately with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment while promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures and patient records within the electronic medical system
• Remain updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field is required
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
