What You'll Do As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you'll help ensure every guest room and public space reflects the high standards of Zelda Dearest. Responsibilities include: Clean and service guest rooms to the highest quality standards Make beds, replace linens, and replenish towels and amenities Clean and sanitize bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces Dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain guest rooms and assigned public areas Report maintenance concerns and damaged items promptly Restock housekeeping carts and maintain organized supply areas Follow all safety, sanitation, and hotel cleanliness standards Respect guest privacy while working efficiently and professionally Assist with special cleaning projects as needed Work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance teams to prepare rooms for arriving guests What We're Looking For Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Reliable, dependable, and punctual Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks Must be able to work weekends and holidays Why You'll Love Working Here Join one of Asheville's most distinctive boutique hotels Friendly, supportive team environment Competitive pay Employee discounts in the Hilton Network Paid time off and holiday benefits (for eligible employees) Health, dental, and vision insurance (for eligible employees) 401(k) with company match (for eligible employees) Who We Are Zelda Dearest is a boutique luxury hotel inspired by the glamour, creativity, and adventurous spirit of Zelda Fitzgerald. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week. Qualifications Bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods. Talk to many different kinds of people to give information, answer questions and provide required services. Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind. Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork. Move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties. Lifting fifty (50) pounds maximum. Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
