Registered Nurse - Night Shift Telemetry Position

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM); 4x12-hour shifts also may be available. Alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, with weekend coverage required every other week.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in this telemetry position will provide specialized care for patients needing cardiac monitoring. Nurses will work in a high-acuity setting, responsible for monitoring telemetry patients and managing complex medical needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans that ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients in a telemetry unit, interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac conditions.
• Administer IV medications, including insulin titration and cardiac drips.
• Manage various medical devices, including feeding tubes, central lines, and ventilation support.
• Maintain appropriate patient care ratios (1:4) while ensuring quality of care.
• Implement wound care and manage other complex patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or critical care setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and management of ventilated patients is essential.
• First-time travelers are accepted; however, local candidates are also welcome.
