Your primary role is to collect accurate patient data — through screenings, collecting vitals and diagnostic testing — to support informed clinical decision-making. Success in this role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to building strong relationships with our patients. By collaborating closely with your team, you will drive clinical results while ensuring an unmatched patient experience.Responsibilities:Ensure an efficient patient flow: room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviewsStock exam rooms and manage inventory of supplies.Respond to patient requests for telephonic support, such a lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc.In accordance with state regulations, MAs may administer vaccinations, perform point of care tests including but not limited to: A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws for lab testing (phlebotomy)Ensure accurate record keeping by updating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and upload required documents via scanning or PDF uploadParticipate in daily care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operationsProcess orders for durable medical equipment, in partnership with clinical leadership and support teamsAs required by the patient provider, request medical records from external providers and specialistsConduct any required routine quality control checks including infection control measures, equipment, and checks for expired medication and supplies and/or assist in maintaining center labOther duties as assignedWhat we're looking for:Required:At least 1 year experience employed as a medical assistant (non-externship), preferably in primary care.Active CPR or BLS CertificationHands-on patient experience with taking patient vitals, administering diagnostic testing, and immunizationsElectronic Medical Record (EMR) experienceAbility to quickly navigate and use multiple computer programs to include, but not limited to: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets, etc.To perform core operational duties, must be able to remain in a stationary upright position or move about the work area for approximately 6 to 7 hours of an 8-hour workday, in addition to being able to lift up to 20 pounds.We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals. If you require an accommodation, please let us know during the application process.US work authorizationStrongly Preferred:State or national certification for Medical Assisting (CMA, CCMA, or RMA), including graduation from an accredited medical assistant courseExperience with blood draws (phlebotomy) and specimen collection.Problem-solving skills, professional accountability, and a flexible, positive attitude in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and customer service orientationAn appetite for expanded responsibilities, greater clinical experience, and a chance to truly make an impact in their patients' livesPreferred Qualifications:2 or more years of experience working with geriatric patientsPhlebotomy Technician CertificationFluency in another language is not required, but is a plus when it comes to connecting with our diverse patient communities.Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40Time Type: Full timePay Range: $18.50 - $38.82This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
