Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Position Overview

This is a temporary to permanent full-time (0.9 FTE) position for a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Candidates selected for this role will be involved in caring for high-acuity surgical patients and must demonstrate experience with tracheostomy care. The assignment duration is a maximum of 13 weeks for travelers who reside more than 100 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level 4 NICU environment.
• Assess and implement nursing care plans for patients, particularly those requiring surgical interventions.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Comfortably float to other Intensive Care Units (ICU) as needed.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a Level 4 NICU with a proven track record of handling high-acuity cases.
• Proficiency in caring for patients with tracheostomies.
• Strong adaptability and ability to float to various ICUs, including pediatric, PICU, and CCU.
• Prior experience in standalone children's hospitals is highly regarded.

This position is located in the Cincinnati, OH area.

About the Role

Ideal candidates will have substantial acute hospital experience, particularly as it relates to the acuity of patients they've cared for during previous assignments. Nurses with extensive travel experiences in diverse ICU settings are encouraged to apply.
