Responsibilities Vice Presidents within the Strategic Advisory group focus on evaluating, structuring, and recommending financial and strategic alternatives – including mergers, acquisitions, other strategic combinations, asset sales and divestitures – for clients across multiple industries. Evaluate and structure financial and strategic alternatives, including analysis of mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, and divestitures. Lead day‑to‑day transaction execution, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and contract negotiations, while coordinating associate and analyst work. Analyze financial data and developments in financial markets relevant to PJT Partners. Conduct research on targeted industries for investment purposes. Perform valuation analysis of prospective investment opportunities, assessing financial risks. Compare a company’s financial data with peers of the same industry, size, and location to forecast industry trends. Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies. Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for PJT Partners’ management and client review. Participate in internal and external client meetings, negotiate contracts, and lead due diligence sessions. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a strong background in finance/accounting, proven analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to work in a team environment. Successful applicants will be highly motivated, intelligent, and self‑started. Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years of investment banking experience. Salary & Compensation Expected annualized base salary: $250,000 to $300,000. The base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation, which may also include discretionary bonus components and other rewards and incentives.
