Work Environment

As part of our rehabilitation center, you will work in a supportive and resource-rich environment that encourages professional growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function in orthopedic patients, based on thorough evaluations of their physical condition.
• Oversee the implementation of care plans by instructing and supervising physical therapy assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tests and functional assessments to inform ongoing treatment.
• Evaluate patients' home environments for safety and comfort, providing recommendations to enhance independence in daily activities.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training exercises tailored to each patient's needs.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in consultation with referring physicians and other team members.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, collaborating with healthcare professionals to review and refine treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, equipment care, and overall health management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, treatment logs, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay accessible to team members, providing guidance and support during therapy sessions as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will help a diverse range of clients, from athletes seeking to return to competitive performance to older adults aiming to regain mobility and independence after surgery. Each patient presents unique challenges and opportunities for you to apply your clinical skills and creativity in developing effective rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing in New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably within orthopedic or acute care settings.
• Valid CPR certification and a current driver's license with auto insurance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Creative problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
