Work Environment

This is an onsite position where the Physical Therapist will deliver therapy in patients' homes, allowing for a comfortable and familiar atmosphere conducive to recovery. Our team operates from the heart of Princeton, NJ, navigating various local neighborhoods to provide personalized services. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate physical therapy treatment focused on health improvement and restoring function, ensuring alignment with the care/treatment plan.
• Evaluate and assess clients using specialized diagnostic and prognostic tests to measure muscle strength, joint functionality, and overall physical performance.
• Develop and implement orders for home care physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of the home environment and provide tailored recommendations to promote client independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, instruct clients and their families in non-manual exercises, and facilitate functional activities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in executing designated therapy services while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain open communication with physicians and case managers, preparing comprehensive clinical records that include evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings for overall treatment planning and evaluation.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and excellence in service delivery.
• Support clients and their families through education on physical therapy devices and programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will interact with a diverse population, requiring specialized attention to orthopedic cases that may include post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and injury rehabilitation. Focused on delivering care in the home setting, you will engage collaboratively with both the patient and their families to build a supportive environment that fosters optimal rehabilitation and health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey in good standing.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to clinical excellence.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make challenging decisions regarding treatment plans.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Experience

While one year of experience in either an acute care or home care setting is required, we particularly prefer candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and hands-on experience in orthopedic rehabilitation. Familiarity with tools and methodologies including OASIS for home health assessments will be highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Arrowhead PT Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
