About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing practice in Houston, TX! Our clinic prides itself on delivering beautiful smiles and exceptional patient care. Because we serve a wonderfully diverse community, we are actively looking for a candidate who is fluent in both English and Vietnamese to help bridge the communication gap and provide a welcoming, stress-free experience for all of our patients and their families.

Whether you are a seasoned Orthodontic Assistant or a strong Dental Assistant looking to transition into orthodontics, we want to hear from you. You will work closely with our orthodontist to provide top-tier clinical care, educate patients on their treatments, and keep our clinic running smoothly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist the Orthodontist chairside during bonding, banding, wire changes, and debonding appointments.
• Diagnostic Records: Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral/extraoral photographs, and alginate impressions, pour stone models.
• Communication & Translation: Clearly explain treatment procedures, oral hygiene instructions, and appliance care to patients and parents.
• Sterilization & Prep: Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting operatories, and preparing trays for the day's scheduled procedures.
• Clinic Flow: Manage patient flow, chart detailed clinical notes accurately, and ensure a positive, upbeat environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Texas is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental or orthodontic setting is preferred.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Skills: Strong manual dexterity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
