This position is an important part of our facility's operations and is responsible for overseeing billing, accounts receivable, resident accounts, insurance, Medicare and Medicaid documentation, and other essential business office functions. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, knowledgeable, and comfortable working with residents, families, employees, insurance providers, and government agencies. About White Oak of Rock Hill White Oak of Rock Hill is a 141-bed skilled nursing center conveniently located near Piedmont Medical Center. What You'll Do Managing day-to-day business office operations and maintaining accurate financial records. Verifying insurance and payer sources for admissions and referrals. Completing the business office portion of admission and readmission paperwork. Managing Medicare, Medicaid, Hospice, VA, insurance, and private-pay accounts. Assisting residents and families with questions regarding Medicaid eligibility and level-of-care requirements. Communicating with DHHS and Medicaid caseworkers regarding approvals, denials, and required documentation. Preparing and processing monthly billing and ensuring charges and payer information are accurate. Managing accounts receivable and following established collection procedures. Reviewing resident billing statements and assisting residents and authorized representatives with billing questions. Preparing bank deposits and posting payments accurately. Maintaining resident personal funds accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, receipts, interest, reconciliations, and required statements. Ensuring resident funds are accurately maintained and secured in accordance with company policy. Processing appropriate refunds and maintaining accurate resident account records. Maintaining current business-office files and documentation. Maintaining the facility census and communicating admissions, transfers, discharges, and other resident changes to appropriate departments. Communicating necessary information with physicians, pharmacies, consultants, vendors, management, and outside agencies. Maintaining required Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and Hospice reporting and certification information. Assisting with Social Security representative-payee applications and annual reviews when appropriate. Participating in department head meetings, required training, and facility initiatives. Performing general administrative and clerical duties as needed. Maintaining a professional, organized, and confidential work environment. Performing other duties as assigned by the Administrator. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous business office, accounting, billing, healthcare, long-term care, or related experience preferred. Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, insurance billing, accounts receivable, or resident financial accounts is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and compassionate approach when working with residents and families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership and other departments.
