Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs cardio-pulmonary evaluations, respiratory care, life support, and education for patients and families. They work with inpatients and outpatients of all ages who have deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Responsibilities include following established protocols or the prescriptions of a physician. The RRT can perform respiratory care duties in all areas of the hospital. Candidates must have completed training from approved training groups for onboarding and clearance. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a critical care environment.
