Joybird Design Sales Associate

Job Summary Design Sales Associate – Joybird, Mission Viejo, CA. Responsible for driving sales in Joybird’s showrooms, guiding high‑end clients through a premium sales experience and curating luxury looks. Responsibilities Open and close the store, managing store keys and alarm codes. Provide daily sales reporting to retail leadership. Oversee the sales floor during high‑volume periods, offering support and supervision to ensure financial goals are met and guests receive excellent service. Act as Lead Sales Associate, delivering an exceptional customer experience and serving as a role model for the sales team. Maintain showroom design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines. Grow a personal clientele book and drive store sales through client follow‑up, phone calls, and personalized outreach. Assist leadership in creating programs and initiatives to improve customer experiences. Share insights with product, marketing, and technology teams regarding customer needs and feedback. Listen to customer feedback and complaints, empathize, and present the best possible solution. Qualifications 2+ years retail sales experience; shift supervision experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills. No travel required. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Passion for driving the customer‑service experience. Knowledge of the furniture industry is a plus. Proficiency in Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal. Compensation Base Pay: $18.00 per hour; Commission: 2% on all sales, uncapped, with a monthly bonus opportunity of $500 based on meeting specific individual sales goals.
