Base pay range $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Northbound Executive Search Executive Recruiter | SME in Consultant, Temporary, Fractional, and Temp-to-Perm Staffing in Financial and Professional Services Our client, a prestigious financial services firm in New York, NY is seeking a Temporary HR Associate to support the HR team through its busiest time of year. This role is heavily focused on year-end HR processes and requires an individual who is highly detail-oriented, reliable, and possesses strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. The right candidate will come from a large corporate environment and be comfortable working long hours during high-volume periods. This is a high-priority need with an immediate start. Responsibilities: Support year-end HR operations, including employee data reviews, reporting, and documentation Assist in auditing and reconciling HR system data to ensure accuracy and compliance Work extensively in Excel to manage large datasets, generate pivot tables, and use formulas such as VLOOKUPs to track and validate HR metrics Partner with HR colleagues to process changes, review records, and ensure data consistency across systems Maintain detailed logs, trackers, and documentation for HR activities and audits Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather data and assist with internal reporting deadlines Provide general HR administrative support and assist with special projects Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee information Qualifications: At least 1 years of HR experience, ideally in a large corporate or financial services environment Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) Proven ability to work extended hours (12–14 hour days) during peak cycles such as year-end close Excellent organizational skills and extreme attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Oracle, etc.) is a plus Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Human Resources Industries Investment Banking, Banking, and Investment Management Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Northbound Executive Search by 2x Get notified about new Human Resources Assistant jobs in New York City Metropolitan Area .
