Aviation Maintenance Assistant

This position is responsible for assisting Aviation Maintenance instructors in lab sessions as assigned by the academic dean.

Job Duties:

• Assist students and instructor during lab
• Order materials and supplies for the Aviation program
• Contact and coordinate recruiters/employers to visit with students
• Maintain parts inventories, pick up parts or schedule deliveries and distribute materials, parts, and tools.
• Organize and maintain the tool room.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic's License
• Driver's License
• Relevant experience in Aviation Maintenance
• Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record

Physical Demands:

• The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
