About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Development to lead and manage fundraising campaigns with a focus on driving revenue to support its mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic direction, team management, and inspiring a dynamic development staff. This role requires a passionate individual with a drive for results, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The VP will work closely with the Sr. Executive Director on key donor relationships, prospecting, and sales processes, and will have the principal responsibility of positioning the market for growth in unrestricted revenue. The role also involves leading a team of direct reports, setting and achieving aggressive goals, and building a network of volunteer partnerships. Applicants for the Vice President, Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years in fundraising or outside sales, and a proven track record in closing six- to seven-figure gifts. A minimum of 6 years of management experience is required, with expertise in coaching and developing staff. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to influence others, communicate a shared vision, and establish strategic plans in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with existing donor relationships, and a willingness to travel locally are essential. The role is pivotal in the company's mission to create a world with longer, healthier lives, and the VP will be a key player in the organization's efforts to make a significant impact on public health.
