Sr. Software EngineerGood understanding and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server concepts. Experience in high level diagnostics and troubleshooting of VMware ESX server environment. Project experience of design and delivery of server virtualization in an Enterprise environment. Experience in performance tuning of VMware servers and virtual sessions and management of server’s resources between virtual machines. Experience in backup and recovery of virtual machines and virtual servers. Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center. Experience in Update Manager for Patch Management. Good understanding of virtualization technology. Knowledge and experience implementing security hardening measures to the OS on servers IBM, client and Dell hardware and troubleshooting. Hands on experience on client servers from client, Sun, Dell and IBM. Good understanding and work experience on Windows 2000, 2003 & 2008, AD, and FSMO roles. Ability to analyse the needs, and then design, test and develop software in order to meet those needs. Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures. Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems. Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes. Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs. Investigating and using new technologies where relevant. Providing written knowledge transfer material. A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions. Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
