Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team for a night shift position in a stepdown neuro unit. The position offers a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role is intended to provide winter coverage for 20 weeks, with the option for 13-week contracts available as well.

Job Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for, preferably within one location.
• At least 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience is required; travel experience will be considered sufficient.
• Previous experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A permanent Ohio license or a compact state license is required upon submission.
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are necessary.
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday is essential.

Assessment Requirements

All travelers will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is mandatory.

Additional Information

• This position operates under a strict compliance requirement regarding background checks.
• Candidates with any open cases on background checks will not be accepted.
• Travelers must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen required within 12 months prior to the start date.
• Candidates must complete BCI/FBI prints within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Annual competency requirements apply for nurses who remain on a continuous contract for a minimum of one year.
