Job Description
Position : RoomAttendant Department : Housekeeping Primary Responsibilities :
• Perform Daily Maid Service at the standard detailed in the StandardOperating Proceduresincluding the functions of:
• Change all linendaily
• Clean bathroom
• Dust all wooden surfaces
• Clean and/or vacuumall floors
• Replenish amenities
• Return guest room amenities, furniture& furnishings to designated locations
• Tidy the guests' personalbelongings (i.e. clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc.) Secondary Responsibilities :
• Respond to varying special requests, including:
• Emergency clean up
• Providing additional requested amenities or furnishings
• Communicatewith guests regarding directions, providing descriptions of hotel amenities andfacilities Normal Working Hours :
• Must be available Sunday - Saturday & all holidays In order to be successful in thisposition, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria Past Work ExperienceRequirements :
• Housekeeping experience in hotel or professionalwork environment preferred.
• One year consecutive work history showingdependability& commitment to the job, OR
• If a candidate has no workhistory within the past year, dependability and commitment can be demonstratedthrough non-paid activity or involvement such as school, extracurricularactivities or volunteering.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance with 5or less absences per year. Educational Requirements :
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required Communication SkillsRequirements :
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal& external customers.
• Ability to quickly solve and respond toproblems Technical Requirements :
• None Required Supervision :
• Directions given by supervisor
• Ability to follow directions
• Mustwork independently Other Requirements :
• Mustbe flexible
• Must have a neat & clean appearance
• Must be able toperform all phases of cleaning.
• Ability to handle pressure &deadlines.
• Must be able to organize & plan tasks.
• Must be able towork harmoniously with co-workers.
