Role: S olutions Marketing Specialist Location: Washington, DC Role Description The Solutions Marketing Specialist (SMS) drives the articulation, positioning, and adoption of Rivet’s solutions across aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. This role sits at the intersection of product, commercial, and customer success—translating complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that unlock new business and expand existing programs. The SMS is responsible for shaping how Rivet shows up to customers and partners. This includes developing solution positioning, building go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and executing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption. The role requires strong intuition for customer needs, the ability to distill technical systems into tangible value, and a bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. As a cross-functional partner, the SMS collaborates closely with engineering, implementation, and commercial teams to ensure consistency between what we build, what we say, and what customers experience. This role also plays a key part in enabling internal teams—ensuring everyone at Rivet can clearly communicate our solutions and their impact. Role Objectives Develop and refine solution positioning, messaging, and narratives for Rivet’s core offerings across aerospace, defense, and industrial markets Design and execute growth- and adoption-focused campaigns with government and commercial customers Build and operationalize GTM playbooks in partnership with industry and technology partners Create business cases and launch strategies for new product extensions, capabilities, and market expansions Own or contribute to key solution and brand communication channels, including website, social, events, and field-facing materials Partner with Deployment Strategists and commercial teams to ensure consistency between marketed solutions and delivered outcomes Support business development efforts through compelling solution narratives, collateral, and proposal inputs Enable internal teams with clear, scalable materials that improve company-wide understanding of Rivet solutions Continuously gather market, customer, and competitive insights to refine positioning and identify new growth opportunities Qualifications and Requirements 5+ years in solutions marketing, product marketing, or GTM roles for complex technical products or platforms Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or adjacent deep-tech industries strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to translate technical systems into clear, differentiated customer value propositions Experience building and executing GTM strategies, campaigns, or product launches Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with experience creating customer-facing content and narratives Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and customer-facing teams Familiarity with government and/or enterprise procurement environments is a plus Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive initiatives from concept to execution Willingness to travel up to ~25% as needed to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams This position requires U.S. citizenship due to contract obligations; must have ability to be cleared *Total compensation may vary within this range and isdeterminedby years and level of relevant experience, job-related skills, education, and other factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity grants and other forms of compensation.
