Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a contract position with our client in Minneapolis, MN. This position is for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, translating data into actionable insights, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver impactful technology solutions. This opportunity offers the chance to work on large-scale financial services initiatives, supporting critical banking and money movement capabilities while collaborating with business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management activities for medium to large-scale projects.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to define, prioritize, and validate business and system requirements.
• Analyze business processes and translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Develop data mappings, source-to-target documentation, process flows, and system diagrams.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements review sessions.
• Support project delivery using Agile, Waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
• Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment activities as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on business analysis best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience supporting large and complex projects.
• Strong technical analysis skills, including data mapping, data analysis, data mining, and source-to-target documentation.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and/or iterative project delivery methodologies.
• Experience with requirements planning prioritization, stakeholder analysis, and effort estimation.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Banking experience, including savings account products and related processes.
• Experience supporting money movement initiatives, payments, transfers, or related banking functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis four days per week.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $55.00 - $85.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
