Medical Laboratory Technician PCR - 1st & 2nd Shifts

As a Medical Laboratory Technician in the PCR lab at IDEXX, you perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. In this role: You will use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. You will be utilizing PCR and real-time (qPCR) techniques, sample preparation, extraction and handling of DNA/RNA, utilizing pipetting and laboratory aseptic techniques, preparing reagents, controls and master mixes. You will be operating and maintaining PCR instrumentation and analyzers. You will set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). You will be following CLIA, CAP, GMP, GLP and other regulatory standards.
