Air Stream AC is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our commercial installation jobs in NYC and LI.

In this vital role, you will oversee our commercial HVAC installation projects from the planning stage right through to completion, while ensuring that our team stays on track to bring projects in on time and within budget.

Essential Job Functions

• Reads and understands mechanical drawings, purchase orders, contracts, etc.
• Have knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and pricing
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
• Brings projects to successful completion within budget
• Effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Has excellent written and oral communication skills
• Fosters and maintains a positive team environment
• Follows all procedures and protocols
• Builds positive relationships with peers, customers, and management

Key Competencies

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, AUTO CAD a plus
• Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum five years' HVAC direct work experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of process development and execution
• Proven experience in strategic planning and risk management
• HVAC Journeyman, E02 and EPA Universal preferred
• Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for mechanical contracting companies and by company insurance carrier(s)

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel. The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat. The employee may drive for extended periods of time, including in all types of weather and day/night light conditions.
