Assist customers with purchases, clean shelves and display cases, and rotate self‑serve displays. Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker on items that need baking or decorating. Clean the department by hosing down floors with soap and water. Maintain food safety compliance (Food Handler Card required). Qualifications Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers. Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds. Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra). Retail Management Certificate (extra). Other Requirements Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to the preparation, handling, and serving of food.
