Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and AHA-issued certifications for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting in an Orthopedic/Trauma Unit
• Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses to interventions, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may reapply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) on contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility will not negotiate start dates and non-compliant travelers risk contract cancellation
