Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Company Description: San Diego Youth Psychology (SDYP) is a small private practice in San Diego, CA, dedicated to promoting equity of care for the local community. The practice focuses on helping individuals meet their full potential through affirming, strengths-based services. SDYP specializes in neurodiversity-affirming psychological evaluations and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. The team also provides support for parenting and behavioral challenges in youth, offering collaborative care that centers the needs and goals of clients and their families. Role Description: This is a full-time or part-time, hybrid role for a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in San Diego, CA. The role can include neurodevelopmental evaluation and/or psychotherapy. The psychologist will document clinical services, collaborate with caregivers and community providers, and participate in case consultations and team meetings. Additional responsibilities may include supporting trainees through clinical supervision, contributing to practice-wide initiatives, and engaging in ongoing professional development. Qualifications: Strong foundation in Clinical Psychology Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-based and neurodiversity-affirming approaches in clinical practice. Proficiency in Psychological Testing, including administration, scoring, and interpretation of assessments for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. Demonstrated experience in Mental Health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns. Must have obtained a PhD or PsyD from an accredited institution. Current license as a Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in California, or license eligibility within a defined timeframe. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, especially in areas such as neurodevelopmental differences, behavioral challenges, and parenting support. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a small practice setting. Commitment to equity of care, cultural humility, and inclusive, non-discriminatory clinical practices.
