Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced environment and must be willing to float between multiple locations if required.

Shift Requirements

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• 36 hours scheduled per week
• 24 hours guaranteed
• Up to one shift can be canceled per week

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

Weekend and on-call requirements will be determined based on the facility's needs.

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, providing care in a variety of settings. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Administering respiratory therapy treatments and monitoring patient progress.
• Utilizing various modalities such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and airway management.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educating patients and families on respiratory care techniques and devices.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 24 months of RRT experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications from approved organizations (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• No issues on state license to practice.
• Must possess an active state license to practice at the time of application.
• Ability to travel and float between locations as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Must wear specified scrubs as required.
• Completion of a RRT skills checklist within the last 12 months.
• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from an approved vendor.
• A driver's license to verify residency.
