Process Mechanic I/II - Nights

AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center seeks a Process Mechanic to maintain biologic manufacturing equipment including bioreactors, centrifuges, and purification systems. The role involves mechanical repairs, valve rebuilds, pump maintenance, and GxP documentation in a regulated cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on bioreactors, centrifuges, purification skids, and autoclaves
• Execute valve rebuilds, pump repairs, agitator maintenance, and heat exchanger fixes
• Complete GxP-compliant documentation for all maintenance activities
• Conduct motor pump alignment and mechanical system diagnostics

Requirements

• 0–5 years experience in mechanical, pipefitting, or plumbing trades
• High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent military training
• Ability to read mechanical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and computer systems
• Capacity to lift 50 pounds and work in cleanroom environments
• Clear written and oral communication skills

Compensation: $55,713.60–$83,570.40 hourly
