EFDA

Provide professional and efficient chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
Greet and prepare dental patients, ensuring their comfort and readiness for treatment.
Perform all duties authorized under the Oregon Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) license.
Execute thorough patient care duties, including chairside coronal polishing, suctioning, and passing dental instruments.
Safely and effectively take dental X-rays (radiographs).
Apply topical fluoride treatments as directed by the dentist.
Maintain strict sterilization protocols, including high-level disinfection (HLD) and autoclaving of instruments and equipment.
Manage operatory preparation and breakdown, ensuring all materials are stocked and ready for the next patient.
Engage in positive and professional patient interaction throughout the visit.

full-time $30 - $32 per hour

- Work Hours: Monday-Wednesday 8-5 , Thursday: 7 AM - 3 PM; closed friday
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).

• Experienced Dental Assistant (1+ years)
• General Dentistry
• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification in the state of Oregon.
Proven experience in chairside dental assisting.
Demonstrated competency in dental X-ray procedures.
Knowledge and adherence to rigorous sterilization and infection control protocols (e.g., HLD, Autoclaving).
Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience applying fluoride treatments.
Experience performing chairside coronal polishing.
Experience with various dental software systems.
