Resident Assistant

Pavilion of Logan Square is seeking a Resident Assistant to join their team. The Resident Assistant assists in providing exceptional customer service to our residents, performing non-medical assistance and working closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure a positive experience in the facility. Resident Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Greet and maintain positive, friendly relationships with all residents Assist in-room residents by visiting with them, writing letters, running errands, and performing assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary Ensure that rooms are prepared for the arrival of new residents Assist with the distribution of food trays to residents Manage, maintain, and organize resident property in accordance with policies and standards Help organize and put away resident laundry Answer call‑lights and get appropriate staff to help residents if needed Address any concerns that residents may have with appropriate department heads and leadership Bring residents to assigned areas throughout the facility as needed Make beds and straighten up rooms Serve as back‑up to the front‑desk receptionist to ensure customer service standards are maintained All other duties as assigned Resident Assistant Skills and Abilities Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English The ability to serve residents in a manner that makes them feel valued A passion for the elderly and other residents in our care Resident Assistant Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent, required Must enroll in a certified nursing certificate program within 3–6 months of employment Physical Requirements Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required Ability to push a wheelchair weighing up to 300 lbs Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards; understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required Benefits Daily Pay & Competitive Compensation Medical Insurance Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Discount Program Innovative Training Programs Opportunity for Growth and Advancement Paid Time Off And many more Equal Opportunity Statement Pavilion Healthcare Facilities are Equal Opportunity Employers and do not discriminate based on any protected right such as race, color, nationality, gender, age, disability or any protected applicable right under the National Labor Relations Act. #J-18808-Ljbffr
