Ingleside Communities is a not-for-profit community-based facility providing a continuum of senior living services from nursing and rehabilitation to assisted living, to senior apartments for the residents of Mt. Horeb and its surrounding communities. Ingleside is just a short 15-minute drive from the west side of Madison. CBRF Available Positions: AM Shift- 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:00 AM-1:00 PM PM Shift- 2:00 PM-10:30 PM NOC Shift- 10:00 PM-6:30 AM RCAC Available Positions: AM Shift- 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:00 AM-1:00 PM PM Shift- 2:00 PM-10:30 PM What do Resident Assistants / Caregivers do? Communicate and interact with residents, families and other health team members as an essential component of this position. Perform a variety of assistive care duties, under the direct supervision of the Manager, or Shift Leader to ensure the resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP) is being followed Encourage residents to maintain their independence Assist and guide residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as necessary Provide a home-like environment that encourages the optimum level of physical, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual activity Work independently, using sound judgment in the provision of personal and medical care, activities, and housekeeping/laundry services as scheduled Must maintain a caring attitude toward residents at all times and be capable of good judgment in all situations We Offer a Competitive Wage and Benefits to Eligible Employees that Include: Evening (PM) and Night (NOC) shift differentials Hourly wage increase for working weekends, picking up shifts and working holidays 401k (with company match) Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical and Dependent Care) Tuition Reimbursement Program Paid CNA certification Career advancement within our company Generous Paid Time Off Employee Referral Bonus Program Employee Assistance Program On Demand Pay with direct deposit Work with a supportive family dynamic team Essential Functions of the Job: Assist with ADLs, provide direct care to residents, following the resident's assessment and ISP as necessary Give or assist with personal cares including but not limited to hygiene, oral care, showers, sponge baths, tub baths, shampoos and sets, nail and skin care Assist with toileting as necessary, including care of incontinent residents Demonstrate interpersonal skills to successfully interact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and community and government agencies Supervise or assist resident with taking medications and develop a working knowledge of medications and possible side effects. Take vital signs as directed by Manager or Shift Leader Report observations to Manager or Shift Leaders and document appropriately Maintain confidentiality of resident's records including identity, behavior and medical conditions Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including performing house cleaning duties Wash, fold and put away laundry, distribute to appropriate residents, ensuring residents names are on all clothing, towels, sets, socks, and etc. at all times Arrange and assist with leisure activities as shown on activity board and encourage resident participation Assist with restorative activity, ambulation, range of motion as instructed by the Administrators or Shift Leaders Experience and Training Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age Compassionate, self-motivated Must have transportation to and from the facility Certification in Standard Precautions Certification in First Aid and Choking Certification in Fire Safety Training Medication and Diabetic certification Previous experience working directly with the elderly preferred but not required Our core values Are based on five pillars: Do the right thing, Foster positive relationships, Be committed, Be innovative, and Coach, guide and lead.
