The University of Iowa Colleges of Education and Medicine are seeking a part-time, temporary Administrative Support Coordinator. This position will provide support to the Iowa School Mental Health Caregiver Initiative (SMHCI) staff and community partners to enhance mental health awareness for caregivers in the state of Iowa. The Administrative Support Coordinator will help with setting up in-person and virtual program modules and sessions. They will also provide assistance to facilitators during and after the program sessions.
Areas of Responsibilities and Tasks
Assist with the pre-planning of sessions.
Prepare session materials and handouts.
Coordinate and schedule virtual sessions or meeting rooms
Prepare meeting location for session. Set up rooms.
Order and gather supplies for sessions.
Assist facilitators during sessions as needed.
Collect session materials and handouts.
Shares appropriate information/feedback openly, professionally, and respectfully.
Demonstrates awareness of one's own and others' social identities (e.g. race, gender, disability status, religion, etc.) and their relevance in the workplace.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or a combination of relevant work experience and education.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
A valid driver's license and ability to maintain the University of Iowa driving standards.
Desired Qualifications
Experience coordinating mental health-related services for diverse populations.
Experience working with ESL/ELL youth and families.
Strong preference for Bilingual writing and speaking skills in English and Spanish.
Experience with K-12 school system.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check and credential/education verification.
